On the way to the University
Saw a little scene on the way to the University this morning. Two police cars in the right lane. Next to them, a Ford SUV — an Explorer or an Expedition, I think. A motorcycle — a new-looking yellow sportbike — on the ground, on its side, in front of the Ford. A person, in black pants, lying on the ground, next to the bike. Not moving. Several cops standing around the body, talking amongst themselves. Waiting for an ambulance? (sirens in the distance)
And a black leather shoe, alone in the middle of the road, ten meters or so from the accident scene.
Then the car in front of me (its driver evidently tired of rubbernecking) started moving forward, and I moved forward too.
