Borat

Saw the Borat movie last night. It was, quite frankly, the worst movie I’ve seen in my life. Now, the problem is not that that the movie was offensive (it was, but I don’t care about political correctness). The problem is that it was stupid, lowbrow, and generally unfunny. Granted, there was one interesting scene: the part with the homophobic, mustache-hating rodeo manager and the ultra-nationalist audience. The rest of the film is a river of pure, unadulterated, steaming pig shit. If you feel the need to watch Borat, do yourself a favor and torrent it. The talentless hacks who made this movie do not deserve your money.

The disturbing thing is, most of the people in the theater were laughing at Cohen’s attempts at humor… Looking at the grinning and chortling faces around me, I felt like a lone sane man locked in a mental institution.
